Book Launch: Research Handbook on International Solidarity and the Law

Monash Law School and the Faculty of Law at the University of Oslo invite to an online event marking the launch of the Research Handbook on International Solidarity and the Law, published by Edward Elgar Publishing.

The Research Handbook on International Solidarity and the Law has already been launched in other parts of the world, including as part of the American Society of International Law Conference and at an event in South Africa.

Each launch event has focused on different chapters of the edited collection to bring together legal scholars and experts to discuss the multifaceted dimensions of international solidarity, with thought-provoking insights drawn from the book. For the upcoming event, the speakers will cover the following chapter topics:

  • Prof Alla Pozdnakova (Oslo): International solidarity for ocean commons
  • Prof Ole Kristian Fauchald (Oslo): International solidarity in the context of corruption
  • Dr Karin M Frodé (Monash): International solidarity and the digital sphere

Opening remarks will be delivered by the United Nations Independent Expert on Human Rights and International Solidarity and the editor of the Research Handbook, Prof Cecilia Bailliet (Oslo).
