We hope to see you at our Career Event on Thursday, October 9th, from 16:30 to 18:00, followed by a reception until 19:00. Sign up below - limited spots available!

Pro bono

You likely already know Jussbuss and JURK, student-organized initiatives offering legal aid to private individuals free of charge.
Non-profit organizations like Kirkens Bymisjon and NOAS also offer specialized legal aid to people with substance use disorders and asylum seekers for no cost. And, increasingly, private law firms in Norway are offering their services for no or low cost—in other words, pro bono.

Both smaller firms, independent lawyers, and large firms like Thommessen, Wiersholm, DLA Piper offer legal support to organizations like the Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, Oslo Pride, UNICEF, and many others on a pro bono basis.

Meet the practitioners

The PROBONO Career Event will bring together some of these practitioners in the field of pro bono who will share their experiences, insights, and the rewarding journeys that come with a commitment to serving others through pro bono work.
Find out about trajectories for a career in pro bono for lawyers, but also for social scientists, HR specialists, and others—including you!
