Subject areas

Anne-Beth Meidell Engan is a Research Fellow, from 2021, affiliated with Building Labour Law (Arfa) – a programme for research in labour law aimed at consolidating and developing the scientific basis for research and teaching in labour law in a long term perspective.

Her primary research interests are in individual labour law, and her PhD-project is focused on the topic of damages and compensation in employment law, intersecting with general law of damages and EU/EEA law on damages and effective enforcement in the field.

Background

Anne-Beth received her Masters Degree from the University of Oslo in 2015. She was a research assistant with the Arfa project 2015–2016, writing her Master’s thesis on a topic of collective labour law. She was with the law firm Selmer 2016–2018 and took up a position as lawyer with the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) 2018, where she worked primarily with matters of employment law and dispute resolution. She has served as an external examiner and a supervisor for master students at the UiO.
