About the project
Historical studies of crime, criminal law, and criminology have been conducted for many years at various institutions and across different disciplines in the Nordic region; however, there has been little systematic academic exchange between institutions and disciplines. The interdisciplinary network served as a meeting forum for academic exchange between institutions in the Nordic region and other countries.
The network covered the history of prisons, child welfare, police, criminal justice, and criminology.
The aim was to organise seminars, workshops, and network conferences to enhance historical studies of relevance to the field of criminology.
