About CELL

CELL is an academic centre at the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo. We were granted status as a Centre for Excellence in Education in 2020.

We promote and develop teaching and assessment methods that are experience-based and student activating, for the study programs at the faculty.

The video explains the Excellence status.

Our history

CELL is the result of the initiative of dedicated students and employees, while also being the Faculty's response to changes in society and the role of lawyers. Read about why and how we came to existence.

Funding

Our status as Centre for Excellence in Education is granted by Direktoratet for høgare utdanning og kompetanse (HK-dir). We are funded in part by this grant, the Faculty of Law and the University of Oslo.

Some of our projects are receiving funding from other sources.
