To properly understand and interpret a decision of a court, a thorough understanding of its working methods is essential. This is particularly true for Scandinavian lawyers, to whom several key features of the CJEU are quite foreign – including the lack of dissenting opinions and the role of Advocates General.

In this guest lecture, former CJEU judge Allan Rosas will share some of his extensive knowledge of the Court of Justice and its working methods, drawing on his more than 17 years of experience on the bench and three years experience as member and president of the 255 Committee.
