Companies, Markets and Sustainability
The Research Group Companies, Markets and Sustainability (the Company Law Group) is the Faculty of Law’s forum for research on companies and markets. The Company Law Group contributes to research and development of law in our areas at the national, European and international level. Our perspectives encompass the law relevant for companies as business entities and as objects of public policy. Our aim is a deeper understanding of the law and its role in shaping markets and companies and their interaction with economic, social and environmental sustainability.
Scientific Goals and Areas of Priority
After five successful years as the Research Group Companies, Markets, Society and the Environment (2012-2016), we continue our work under the name Companies, Markets and Sustainability (the Company Law Group).
The Company Law Group’s three horizontal scientific goals for 2017-2021:
- Methodological development
- Regulatory development
- Contributing to economic, social and environmental sustainability
The Company Law Group’s three thematic areas of priority for 2017-2021:
- Companies, Corporate Groups and Networks
- Investors, Finance and Markets
- Public Entities as Market Actors
The three thematic areas are integrated in a number of ways, as is also apparent from our projects.
The Company Law Group invites scholars in the field of the regulation of companies both in traditional and broader perspectives to join the group. Potential applicants to research positions at the Faculty that are advertised several times every year are also welcome to contact the Group to discuss relevant topics.
