Duties
NOTE: In the first half of 2026 I am on leave from my position at NIFS and am working at IFIKK to cover for my colleague Ingunn Aronsen, who is on parental leave.
As research advisor I offer support with fundraising, grant writing and the management of externally funded research projects.
Background
I have a diverse academic background in the humanities (PhD in Arabic and linguistics, Nijmegen, NL, 1998) and later in biology (PhD in evolutionary biology/entomology, Oslo, 2015). In between I have worked at various universities in the Netherlands as a postdoctoral researcher, lecturer and project manager for mainly EU-funded research and research infrastructure projects. From 2017 to 2020 I worked at the Museum of Cultural History, University of Oslo, as project leader for the Saving Oseberg research project. Preparing grant applications was part of my responsibilities in these different positions.
