Contact

Leveraging 40 years of CCS history, FME gigaCCS is a dynamic and impactful collaboration between experts in leading Norwegian and international CCS industry and pioneering research groups equipped with the pan-European ECCSEL research infrastructure.

ECCSEL is the European Research Infrastructure for CO2 Capture, Utilisation, Transport and Storage (CCUS). The project gigaCCS will create competitive CCS technologies, increase value, and reduce risk for industry and society through strategic competence and capacity building, supporting the achievement of Norwegian and international 2030 and 2050 emissions reduction targets.

NIFS contributes to the Centre's work package Policy, governance, and regulations with two PhD positions. The first will work on the national CO2 storage licensing regime; the second on regulatory aspects of cross-border CO2 transport.
