In June 2022, postdoctoral research fellow Natalia Torres Zuniga visited Santiago de Chile, City of Valdivia in Southern Chile, and the town of San Jose de la Mariquina (Valdivia). The visit aimed to gather information about the country's forestry industry, constitutional change and political economy.

A team composed of three students from the University of Oslo participated in the 38th edition of the Jean-Pictet Competition, which took place between 19-25 March in Durrës, Albania. The team, coached by NCHR professor Gentian Zyberi, reached the semi-finals of the competition.

Professor Gentian Zyberi, a professor of international law and human rights at the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights, University of Oslo (NCHR), has been nominated for a second term at the UN Human Rights Committee, for the period 2023-2026. He was elected for the first term in 2018 and has been serving in the Committee since 2019.
On 22 June the Research Group on Human Rights and Sustainable Development and the International Department at the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights organized an internal seminar on the report titled “Understanding and mitigating social risks to sustainable development in China's BRI- Evidence from Nepal and Zambia.” The report was published by the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) in April 2021 and can be found here.
