Navigating the complexity of Sacred Natural Sites in Sápmi
The issue of energy development and Sámi land rights has become a major political and legal challenge in Norway. Contentious cases such as the Fosen case highlight the ongoing clashes between the development of energy projects and Indigenous claims to land. As a result, public interest in these issues is growing, mirroring global concerns about Indigenous rights, environmental sustainability, and climate justice.
