Slik beskrives seminarets tema og formål:
- Environmental crime is one of the most profitable and fastest growing areas of international criminal activity. These crimes do not always produce an immediate consequence and the harm may be diffused. The complexity of victimization – in terms of time, space, impact, and who or what is victimised – is one of the reasons why governments and the enforcement community have trouble in finding the proper responses. This international conference on Environmental Crime and Its Victims aims to bring together academics and practitioners to exchange views, concepts, and research findings on how these problems could be tackled in the broadest sense.
