Biofuels, human rights and indigenous peoples

The Human Rights and Development Research Group welcomes Mr. Rodolfo Stavenhagen, former Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of indigenous
peoples.

The meeting will also briefly discuss the planning of the inuaugural Annual Lecture on Human Rights and Development which will be on 14 October and will concern Biofuels. Plans and proposals for the group in 2009 will also be briefly considered.
