Elections at the Faculty of Law
The Dean, Vice-Deans and the Faculty Board are elected by employees and students at the faculty. Likewise Heads of Departments and Department Boards are elected by employees and students at the department.
Election of Head of Department for the period 2027-2030: Proposal for a new Head of Department
This autumn, a new Head of Department will be elected at the Department of Private Law (IFP). The Electoral Committee proposes the following Heads:
- Head of Department: Eirik Østerud
- Deputy Head of Department: Harald Irgens-Jensen
The election will be conducted by the Department Board at IFP on 26 October.

The voter turnout was 14,16%.

Hedvig Halgunset has been elected as the new student representative on the Faculty Board for the period 01.01.2026-31.12.2026.
The deputy representative is Louis Nqila.
The voter turnout was 6.24%.

Doctoral Research Fellow Nora Milch continues as representative for temporary academic staff on the Faculty Board for the period 01.01.2026 - 31.12.2026.
The election was conducted in a meeting by the Faculty Board 08.12.2025.
