Bakgrunn

David Rodriguez Goyes  har en ph.d. i kriminologi fra Institutt for kriminologi og rettssosiologi ved Universitetet i Oslo. Han har vært en viktig bidragsyter til forskningsfelt om miljøkonflikt, urfolksspørsmål og globale relasjoner mellom Nord-Sør.

Goyes er redaktør for tidsskriftet International Journal for Crime, Justice and Social Democracy, og medlem av redaksjonsrådet i tidsskriftene: Critical Criminology: An International Journal and Justice, Power and Resistance og The journal of the European Group for the Study of Deviance and Social Control.

Goyes har en lang publiseringshistorikk med titler på engelsk, portugisisk og spansk. Hans første bok, Southern Green Criminology (Emerald), ble publisert i 2019. Han har også publisert artikler i en rekke bøker og vitenskapelige tidsskrifter.
