Join the world's largest moot court competition

We are looking for students to join the faculty's team for the prestigious moot court competition Jessup, in Washington, DC, USA.

The Faculty of Law is looking for students to participate in the Jessup moot court competition 2022. Jessup is the world's largest moot court competition with participants from 100 different countries. The competition is held in Washington, DC, USA.

The application deadline is Friday 8 October

The faculty covers costs associated with participation, including any travel and accommodation to final rounds, depending on whether the final round is held physically and UiO qualifies.

Why participate?

Participation gives you international experience, meetings with talented fellow students, improved writing skills and oral skills - and 10 credits in the degree Public International Law and Information and Communication Technology Law  (must be included as part of the degree).

For students at Public International Law and JUS5540, the topic is also directly linked to the syllabus and participation will thus provide additional teaching.

Who can apply? 

We are looking for 4-5 students who will represent UiO in the competition. We want you to have completed the 3rd year of the study. You must have very good skills in English, both written and oral and have good skills in and prerequisites for teamwork

Participants must expect regular work with preparations, furthermore we want the participants to be able to contribute to the teaching related activities, this will be paid as a teaching assistant.
