Bakgrunn

Christina Voigt er professor ved Institutt for offentlig rett og ekspert i internasjonal miljørett.

Hun studerte rettsvitenskap ved Universität Passau i Tyskland og har Første (1996) og Andre (1999) juridiske statseksamen. Hun har graden Master of Laws in Environmental Law (LL.M. – Envir) fra University of Auckland, New Zealand (2002) og graden dr. juris fra Universitetet i Oslo (2007) på avhandlingen “Sustainable Development as a Principle of Integration in International Law – Resolving Potential Conflicts between WTO Law and Climate Change Mitigation Measures”.

Hun har fagansvar for International Environmental Law and International Climate Change and Energy Law (5. studieår).

Christina er koordinator for "Global commons" i forskningsprosjekt «Pluricourts» ("The Legitimate Roles of the Judiciary in the Global Order") som er et Senter for Fremragende Forskning (SFF) ved Universitetet i Oslo.  Hun er også medlem av forskergruppen i naturressursrett og forskergruppen i internasjonal rett, samt styremedlem i UiO-Energi.

Christina er medlem av redaksjonskomiteen for Journal of Human Rights and the Environment og for Resource Management Theory & Practice and Retfærd. Hun er medlem av Global Network for the Study of Human Rights and the Environment, Global Environmental Integrity Group, Center for International Sustainable Development Law, New Zealand Center for Environmental Law and IUCN Commission on Environmental Law.

I 2009 og 2010 jobbet hun som seniorrådgiver i Norges Miljøverndepartement for den norske regjeringens internasjonale klima- og skoginitiativet og var klimaforhandler på REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Developing Countries). Hun har dessuten vært juridisk rådgiver til flere norske og internasjonale organisasjoner. Hun er fortsatt juridisk rådgiver til Norges Klima-og miljødepartementet og en av Norges forhandlere under FN´s klimakonvensjon.

Christina har to sønner og liker å oppleve naturen og friluftsliv sammen med familien sin.

Forskningsfelt

Christina Voigt arbeider hovedsakelig med internasjonal og nasjonal miljørett, særlig klimarett, og med generell folkerett. For sin forskning fikk hun i 2009 IUCN Academy of Environmental Law's Junior Research Scholarship Prize.
